Dear Mary,
Well, not real work, but at least back to itty bitty quilt blocks. And I didn't abandon you, I just got sidetracked for a while. I had to stop everything except Christmas presents, which included an afghan and full size quilt, so I've been busy. The quilt was for Bob, he seems to like it. I like it too, but I will never do a whole quilt with machine quilting in the ditch again. What a pain!
I have been making the little blocks, but certainly not at the rate of one per day. Maybe THREE years would be a more reasonable goal! I will post photos later this week, once we get some camera issues resolved. My camera is a bust, it just eats batteries and then begs for more. I've got mom's camera, but she neglected to put the cords in the bag. So that's just a temporary delay.
Okay, I will post more soon. I hope you and Bob are well.
Love,
suzie
What a lovely quilt! The colors are some of my favorites. I have always thought about learning to quilt, but my passion for fiber keeps me busy with knitting, spinning, and crocheting. I have a feeling that if I try anything new in the future, it might be weaving before quilting, but maybe some day!
ReplyDeletehello there. I was surprised to see a comment on my post since I'm not really a blogger, I just do this as a type of journal. And I'm not even the journal type either!
DeleteI am glad you like the quilt, scraps are one of my favorites. Right now, since the weather's gotten warm, Im' knitting a wool sweater. Of course.
All kinds of fiber arts are wonderful, and there are a lot of them, don't feel bad if you can't get to every one. I will probably never make it to spinning and weaving myself, doesn't mean I can't love them anyway.
